Our Boot Hoists are are crafted to the highest standard, designed for easy loading of electric wheelchairs and scooters complete into boots of vehicles.

Hand Controls

We supply and fit a wide range of hand controls which enable a driver to operate accelerator/brake and other functions using only their hands.

SmartSteer

SmartSteer is a handheld steering device, which enables the driver to operate the vehicle's secondary functions at the touch of a button. The SmartSteer can typically control:

• Indicators & hazard lights
• Headlights
• Horn
• Windscreen wipers (front & rear)
• Fog lights
• Other functions are possible, depending on the vehicle, eg Radio on/off, heated windscreen, etc.

Left Foot Accelerator

This adaptation provides an accelerator pedal to either the right of the brake pedal (as usual) or to the left of the brake pedal. All you have to do is pull down the pedal you need and the other one will automatically flip up out of the way.

Car Swivel Seats Systems

A swivel seat is of great help for those who have difficulties getting in and out of their vehicle. By swivelling the seat outwards you have considerably improved your possibilities of sitting down or rising up.

We can fit a manual swivel seat or a powered version.

The Turny system is designed for vehicles with higher ground clearance, such as an MPV or 4x4. This system comes further out of the vehicle and has the capability of lowering to assist with transfer.

Carony System

A Carony System is a wheelchair with a seat that can be moved on rails from the wheel unit to the vehicle swivel base.

By using a Carony the wheelchair occupant does not need to be lifted in and out of the vehicle. The user can be seated in the same seat from inside the house and right into the vehicle front seat position.

Person Hoists

Autochair's celebrated Milford person lift has been specially designed for lifting people from their wheelchair into a vehicle and out again, lifting up to 20 stone, with a mobile base option.

Rooftop Stowage Systems

Rooftop stowage systems are deisigned to make the user independent of assistance from other people. With the wheelchair stored in a roof box you won't get your vehicle compartment dirty or your luggage area restricted.

Steering Balls

We can fit standard or quick release steering balls for safe one handed steering. The quick release steering ball is our most popular as it can be easily removed when not required (if you are sharing the vehicle with another driver, for example).
